Top Coat Ceramic®

Cantex Coatings Ltd. was taken to task by our customers to provide an environmentally friendly reflective coating to compliment our “PREMIER” rubber products, we took this challenge seriously.

From extensive research and countless hours of testing, Top Coat Ceramic® evolved. This acrylic co-polymer single component elastomeric roof coating was designed initially as a finish coat for Cantex Coatings Ltd.’s modified asphalt emulsions, however its use over new and existing smooth surfaced or granulated built up, modified bitumen, spray polyurethane foam roof and single ply roofing systems have been found to function with great success not only as a U.V reflective coating but also as a corrosion protective material.

This product has met initial requirements for the CRRC program with an 84.43% Solar Reflectance and a 0.91 Thermal Emittance when applied at the recommended DFT. This material also carries the initial Energy Star rating.

Due to the high level of ceramic technology in Top Coat Ceramic® each coating of material must be done in a perpendicular direction to the previous material to ensure proper film build and a pinhole free finish.

Top Coat Ceramic® is easily applied with a commercial grade paintbrush or paint roller. For larger areas a spray system is recommended. (The Grayco 3400 is the recommended system). Contact Cantex Coatings Ltd. for more information about this piece of equipment.
